Once again parking is becoming an issue here at Marlborough Mesa Villas. Our community only has 25 visitor parking spaces to to share between 112 homes, so we can run out very quickly indeed. Please remember that if you live here at Marlborough Mesa Villas then you are not permitted to park in our visitor parking spaces. You need to be parking in your garage or on either Extension Rd. to the east or Beverly Dr. to the west. It is very important that all residents realize that a vehicle with expired license plates or without license plates entirely is considered by the Police Department to be "inoperable". As such, any vehicle without license plates or with expired license plates parked on the property of Marlborough Mesa Villas either in a Visitors or a Reserved parking space will be towed at the vehicle owner's expense. No prior notice needs to be given. This is intended to prevent stolen or abandoned vehicles from being dumped on our property and is a requirement of our community's involvement with the City of Mesa's Crime Free Housing Program. It is also stated in our Rules and Regulations document, one of the three Governing Documents for our Homeowner's Association. Parking on any street in our complex is always illegal as all of our streets are posted Fire Lanes. Any vehicle parked in a Fire Lane may be towed at any time without any notice and at the vehicle owner's expense. There is no provision in the code for "It will just be a few minutes". The Asociation does realize that without driveways certian loading and unloading activities must take place in the Fire Lane, but these should be kept short and infrequent. Parking in the Fire Lane while you "go inside for a minute" is not considered loading or unloading. Because parking is such a problem here, the Board feels it is necesarry to enforce the parking rule very strenuously. Vehicles that are in violation will be towed and the unit owners will be fined. It is simple to avoid parking fines and towing, park your car in your garage, obtain a Reserved parking space, or park your vehicle on either Beverly Dr. or Extension Rd. The Board of Directors and your neighbors thank you for your cooperation. If you are interested in specifics, the rules for parking are detailed in our Governing Documents, in the Rules and Regulations. Section 14 is devoted to parking issues. You can read all of the Governing Documents here on our web site, or you can obtain a printed copy from the property management company by calling Heywood Realty & Investments, Inc. at (480) 820-1519. |
